“I will not enter my house or get into my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

It is easy to rush around with our ever-so-important to-do lists. We often prioritize both our efforts and our comforts over the indwelling presence of God. Yet the Psalmist calls us to seek first the kingdom of God—to design our living and our resting around the rightful place of God in our lives.

Holy Spirit, You are the one who dwells with us. Summon our determination and endurance to seek first Your presence in and with us. Amen
