“…as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.”
Isaiah 62:5b

What a thing to imagine: that the God who makes universes also chooses to rejoice over us. To know that God delights in us is the beginning of life in the Way of Jesus. To know that there is nothing in heaven, earth, or hell that can keep God’s joyous love from us is the heart of the gospel.

Right now, give us a sense of Your joy in us that we might live this day sure of Your delight for us and all that You have made. We pray in Christ, Your pleasure made known. Amen
