Easter

“‘It is I, Jesus, who sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.’ The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift.”

Revelation 22:16-17

Repentance is a major theme of Revelation. It is a call to the churches, now down through the ages, to repent, to turn to the Lamb and follow in the Way of mercy and self-giving love. And here the door is even thrown open for anyone who “wishes”—who aligns their desires with the desires of God—to take the water of life as a gift. How magnificent, how hope-filled!

May every part of us, and everyone of us, desire what You desire, now and forevermore! Amen
